FESTIVAL AVA
1. The exhibition will feature national and international indigenous films, covering the following countries that are part of the Amazonian territory: Brazil, Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Venezuela, Guyana, Suriname and French Guiana. Selected by a public call on August 22, 2022, for the screening of films throughout the festival period to be confirmed.
REGISTRATIONS
2. Registration is free and can be doneuntil 23:59 on September 21, 2022 directly on the dedicated page on the website:www.avaamazonia.com/inscricoes
2.2 The competitive exhibits will be divided into two categories: The evaluation of the Official Jury and the second category, dedicated to the evaluation of the Popular Jury.
2.3 The main competitive show will be evaluated by the Official Jury, feature films, medium or short films, of any genre and format, from documentaries, animations to works of fiction, as long as they are made by indigenous directors native to the Amazon.
Videos taken by cell phone cameras and digital cameras are included, as long as they are completed from January 2018.
2.4 For the competitive exhibition under evaluation and popular vote, films in co-production with traditional peoples, without geographical or ethnic restrictions of production, but that address the theme of original ethnographic audiovisual production proposed by the festival, completed in any year .
This category aims to encourage dialogue and connection between other cultures of indigenous peoples around the world and the Amazon.
And it's a tribute Honor to Merit, and it will be up to whoever makes all this possible: Our public AVA.
Thus, this tribute will open a popular vote, where the public will decide the film "AVA of the Year 2022", where all films entered in the Festival compete with each other for the public vote.
2.5 The selection committee for the competitive shows will be formed by the curators chosen by the festival.
2.6 A minimum set of five indigenous productions, per category, will be selected for exhibition in the feature, medium and short film competitive show.
2.7 The public notice also highlights that the same person in charge, director or producer, may submit more than one film, but with a dedicated application form for each production.
2.8 It is also established that films with dialogues in a language other than Portuguese should preferably send the material subtitled in Portuguese, Spanish or English.
AWARDS
3. The four winners will receive 1 trophy for each category:
a) Competitive show Official Jury:

Best Indigenous Feature Film;

Best indigenous medium-length film;

Best Indigenous Short Film;
b) Competitive show Popular Jury:

AVA Trophy 2022 (Honor of Merit)
3.1 After the award, the directors awarded in the competitive show will be invited to present their films in partner international shows, having the opportunity to be present on the red carpet of releases.
THEMATIC
4. Also according to the organization of the event, which will be held in a hybrid way, films that portray the diversity of indigenous realities, their ethnographic elements and/or that express the forest, its beings, knowledge and dreams will be highlighted in the competitive exhibitions.
4.1 The public notice aims to encourage the audiovisual production of indigenous Amazonian filmmakers, in addition to contributing to the increase of circulation spaces for these works in the national and international cinematographic scenario.

6. The project has financial support from the State of Pará through the Secretary of Culture and the Cultural Foundation of the State of Pará (Programa Aldir Blanc Pará) via the Aldir Blanc Law, directed by the Special Secretary of Culture of the Ministry of Tourism, Federal Government.
